From the Heart of Wild Africa to the Paradise of Bali

What will happen if the forests and wildlife of Africa presented on the island of Bali? It sounds absurd, impossible. However, it’s really manifested by Bali Safari & Marine Park, with open-zoo concept which stands on an area of 48 hectares of land in the district of Gianyar, Bali.

Bali Safari & Marine Park is one of the founding of Taman Safari Indonesia which is first established in Bogor, West Java. Previously, Taman Safari Indonesia has also set up Taman Safari Indonesia 2 which is located in Pringen, Pasuruan, East Java. But from these three, Bali Safari & Marine Park presents the most distinct concepts. If we want a unique and different vacation experience from other tourist attractions, Bali Safari & Marine Park is an appropriate alternative. With African style that is visible from the African jungle and the animals inside the park, visitors would feel most different safari adventure. Not only that, we can also feel a touch of traditional Balinese in this place through Balinese architectural style that still seen in some of the buildings.

Welcome to the incredible adventure into a wildlife world. Explore the life of hundreds of animals of more than 60 species.

With a total of approximately 300 animals that inhabit this safari park, visitors will feel the satisfaction when they get around the entire area of the safari park, interact with some animals, also feed on some animals such as elephants, tigers and lions. Naturally, with a direct view and interact with nature and wildlife in the African jungle style, we will rediscover the new spirit and fresh mind.

Get acquainted with the mightiest elephants. Ride through a daring elephant trek and enjoy the inspiring elephant educational show.

We also could find many interesting places like Hanuman Stage and Hanuman Court, which is the main stage for educational and entertainment show from the animals, Kampung Gajah which invites us to get around an elephant ride or just watch them playing, or FunZone which provides a lot of fun games for kids to adults. There is also Tsavo Lion restaurant that will bring us closer to the lions, and Uma restaurant that serves various typical dishes of Europe and Asia.

Tsavo Lion restaurant relives the legendary pair of Tsavo lions who become famous by killing and eating more than one hundred railway workers on the Kenya-Uganda Railway in 1898. (Gosh! That's terrible!)

Bali Safari & Marine Park also presents a regular show schedule for a variety of performances each week. There are educational animal shows, elephant bathing, also elephant conservation and educational shows that can be seen every day. Elephant parade will be present every Saturday. And do not miss the course Balinese dance & performance, and barong performances as a form of entertainment from the richness of Balinese culture which can be seen every Sunday or holiday.

Elephant trekking through Mara River would be totally fun..!

One more special thing in this place is the Mara River Safari Lodge, with its unique style of African resorts built in the middle area of Bali Safari & Marine Park. "The establishment of Mara River itself is intended to complement the Bali Safari & Marine Park which already provides a unique entertainment in Bali. In our view, it seems interesting to be able to live closer together with animals here, "said General Manager of Mara River Safari Lodge and owner of Bali Safari & Marine Park, John Sumampau.

Close the day and spend the night in this four-star luxurious African treetop lodges. Peek through your window, get relax to see the African Savannah below while enjoying the stunning Balinese sunset.

More about the concept of Africa that was brought to this island, John explained, "Africa is different. It’s not difficult for us to encounter the animals in Africa since the nature of Africa had a unique terrain. If in Indonesia maybe we should wait for hours to be able to see directly the existing animals in the forest. "

Man who had been introduced to the flora and fauna from his father and grandfather who was the founder of Taman Safari Indonesia also confirmed the objectives of Bali Safari & Marine Park is that people can be more familiar and like the animals. The strength of Bali Safari & Marine Park itself is conservation, where the main mission is to bring overall environmental conservation. He thought this proves successful, because the interests of the visitors to Bali Safari & Marine Park could reach more than 1000 visitors per day.
